This nut recipe has been a hit in my family for at least a decade - the addicting combination of crunchy nuts, hint of cayenne, and fragrant rosemary is a knockout combination EVERY TIME they are served. Another plus? They are super easy to make! My mom always doubles this recipes too because they go that fast.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 2 Tbsp neutral oil with high smoking point

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne or chipotle powder

  • 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt

  • 2 cups nuts of choice (we always use pecans and walnuts, but have tried cashews and macadamia nuts also with good results!)

 Here's how to make them:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium-sized bowl. combine the oil and spices/herbs until well mixed. Add in the nuts and stir to coat with oil. Using a large baking sheet, spread the nuts evenly on the pan in one layer. Place in oven for five minutes, flip nuts over, and then cook for another three-five minutes (watch carefully as they tend to burn easily!). Let cool, pour into a fancy serving dish, and enjoy!
