how i got started
My name is Annie Muske, and I created this blog in 2013 while in pharmacy school as a way to share my passion for making comfort food more nutritious without sacrificing flavor.
I am originally from Minnesota where my parents instilled my love for spaetzle, schnitzel, and good food. I decided to take it east for college and went to Northeastern University where I majored in pharmacy and graduated with my doctorate of pharmacy in 2018 after six years of schooling - it was an accelerated six year program. I worked as a senior pharmacist at a hospital in Boston before I decided to come back to Minnesota and pursue a residency to further my career goals. I now work as a clinical pharmacist at a large hospital in Minneapolis.
I live with my husband, Drew, and our pup, Ruggles. Our hobbies include skiing (downhill or cross country), binge watching a good show or F1 racing, and eating a lot of good food.
This blog used to be just about food, but has expanded over the years to include wellness, health, and other lifestyle aspects. I love sharing what I have learned from my schooling, as well as from the online classes I took in nutrition and my own experiences growing up in a food-centered household. Welcome to my blog!
